I started with a beginners raranga night class at Unitec and went on to complete the Diploma in raranga a year later. I have been weaving for over 20 years. The course was taught using traditional Maori tikanga and this  is how I teach students. I am passionate about raranga and by teaching good basic skills, students can continue their weaving on their own.
