Chris has been teaching English as a second language since 1998 after completing a CELTA (teaching English to Adults) training course. He also completed a university degree in music and languages.

Chris later lived in Japan and China teaching English to adults, teenagers, and young children. However, he has spent most of his career in New Zealand teaching adults. He specializes in Beginner and Elementary levels, and enjoys seeing his students develop their confidence in speaking and listening.

Chris is an effective and patient teacher, creating a friendly class atmosphere where making mistakes is okay! The class is highly interactive, and talkative. If you would like to learn to use English in practical situations, for example: meeting people, making plans, using English at work, talking money and going shopping, then this is the course for you.
