Jeffrey Holdaway is an Auckland based visual artist and sound designer who uses watercolor and drawing techniques as a way to explore new concepts and document his work for theatre, event design and graphic art projects. He is particularly excited by the spontaneity and luminosity watercolour painting can bring to an artwork or image and has spent many years investigating this exciting medium.
Jeffrey has spent his life being involved in the visual arts. Hours spent painting and drawing as a teenager led him to art school, studying Visual Arts at AUT, Auckland. After gaining his bachelor's degree in 1995 he spent several years working at Elam Art School, University of Auckland, before embarking on a career in filmmaking, sound recording, theatre and assisting many prominent artists to make art with technology.
