Crochet has become more popular over the years and is one of the easiest crafts to pick up with only needing a hook, a skein of yarn and a pair of scissors to start.

This Intermediate Crochet Course is perfect for those who are looking for their next step in the crochet journey by learning more stitches and techniques to improve their projects.  This course is most suitable for those that have completed the 4-week beginner course or are confident with the foundation stitches – Chain, Single Crochet, Half Double Crochet, Double crochet and beginner to easy techniques.

Your instructor Amber has been crocheting for 28 years and is a certified instructor with the Craft Yarn Council and American Crochet Association. Amber teaches the US terminology of crochet.

Students will need to bring:

Crochet hooks: 3mm, 3.5mm 4.5mm, 5mm

Yarn:3 yarn balls in contrasting colours (around 200m each)

Notepad, pens/pencils

Yarn needle

Scissors

Stitch Markers

Course Fee Subsidy

This course is subsided by Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for NZ citizens and permanent migrant adults, their partners on work visas or visitor visas, and refugees. To qualify, registrants should be over the age of 16 years and not currently enrolled in a secondary school. You must provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency, or refugee status to our staff for sighting purposes.

For Non- Resident students there will be a surcharge of NZD$20.

Please note: All courses need a minimum number to go ahead. If your course does not have enough enrolments, we regret that we will have to cancel and will let you know either by email or text. Courses are usually cancelled, when necessary, 2-3 working days prior to the scheduled start date.
