All ākonga/students must be 18yrs+ In case you would like to apply for a Manager Certificate with your Local Board you need to be aged 20 or over.

In this 2 Saturdays course, the following units are covered while students will receive face-to-face training and support

• Unit Standard 4646 – Demonstrate knowledge of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and its implications for licensed premises
• Unit Standard 16705 – Demonstrate knowledge of host responsibility requirements as a duty manager of licensed premises

First Saturday: theory, interactive seminar style face-to-face– learning and material course:  We will provide a printed copy on your arrival.  Material purchased through service IQ (Learning material and assessment), A comprehensive overview of the alcohol act and host responsibilities will be discussed to give each candidate a full understanding of the law and host responsibility as related to the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.

Second Saturday: Open book assessment (exam) using the service IQ workbook and class handouts as a resource.

Participants may leave early once they have achieved the assessments.

Please note: All courses need a minimum number to go ahead. If your course does not have enough enrolments, we regret that we will have to cancel and will let you know either by email or text. Courses are usually cancelled, when necessary, 2-3 working days prior to the scheduled start date.
