Course Description

This class offers opportunities to communicate better in the workplace. Examples of topics are accepting a job offer, meeting new colleagues, calling in sick, applying for annual leave, understanding your employment contract, dealing with work problems, attending meetings, workplace e-mail, etc. Topics can be tailor-made to suit enrolled students' needs and interests. This is ideal for pre-intermediate level and above.

  • Communicate confidently and professionally in meetings, presentations, and everyday workplace interactions.
  • Apply appropriate language conventions in emails, reports, and other workplace documents.
  • Respond appropriately to verbal and written instructions in various workplace scenarios.
  • Acquire language skills necessary for providing excellent customer service.
  • Role-play and practice handling customer inquiries, complaints, and requests.

Course Prerequisite Conditions

This course is suitable for ESOL students Pre-intermediate level and above.

Course Fee Subsidy

This course is subsided by Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for NZ citizens and permanent migrant adults, their partners on work visas or visitor visas, and refugees. To qualify, registrants should be over the age of 16 years and not currently enrolled in a secondary school. You must provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency, or refugee status to our staff for sighting purposes.

$75 for Work Visa / $120 for Non-Residents
