Course Description
During the full-time course (8 hours) ākonga/students will be able to assess an emergency situation for hazards, assess and manage patient/s for life-threatening conditions and provide appropriate first aid responses.
In case you require only the Refresher Course, you will be able to leave slightly earlier( around 03:00 pm.
What Will You Gain?
Confidence is using First Aid knowledge/basic skills in human life-threatening situations and minor injuries. On successful completion of the course, ākonga/students will receive a certificate valid for 2 years.
Optional, you can obtain NZQA Units 6402 & 6401 (2 credits). If you need to be assessed against NZQA Standards, please advise when you complete the booking. Note:
Course Materials
All course materials are provided by First Aid(NZ) Ltd and the cost is already included. Our center will provide you a light morning tea.
Course Fee Subsidy
This course is subsided by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for NZ citizens and permanent migrant adults, their partners on work visas or visitor visas, and refugees. To qualify, registrants should be over the age of 16 years and not currently enrolled in a secondary school. You must provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency, or refugee status to our staff for sighting purposes. For non-residents, the course fee is $95.
