Course Level

Level 1 (Beginner Level) and Level 2(Elementary Level).

Course Description

To communicate easily and effectively with other people, improve your listening skills while you practice the sound system, stress and intonation pattern.This is ideal for English  Beginners and Elementary level students. This course is recognised by The English for Migrants Programme and WINZ.

What Will You Gain?

  • Recognise and produce English phonemes accurately, focusing on vowel and consonant sounds
  • Develop an understanding of spoken English stress patterns, intonation, and rhythm.
  • Identify common pronunciation challenges and apply strategies to overcome them.
  • Develop the ability to understand spoken English across a variety of contexts, accents, and speeds

Course Fee Subsidy

This course is subsided by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for NZ citizens and permanent migrant adults, their partners on work visas or visitor visas, and refugees. To qualify, registrants should be over the age of 16 years and not currently enrolled in a secondary school. You must provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency, or refugee status to our staff for sighting purposes.

 

The tuition fee is free for NZ Residents / Citizens / Partnership Visa of NZ Residents or Citizens. (A $30 administration fee applies)

The tuition fee is $100 for Work Visa holders or $175 for Non-Residents.
