Course Description

To perform at your best in the workplace and in the community, you need to communicate easily and effectively with other people. Improve your listening skills while you practice the sound system and stress and intonation patterns. This is ideal for Pre-intermediate and Intermediate students.

What Will You Gain?

  • Recognise and produce English phonemes accurately, focusing on vowel and consonant sounds
  • Develop an understanding of stress patterns, intonation, and rhythm in spoken English.
  • Identify common pronunciation challenges and apply strategies to overcome them.
  • Develop the ability to understand spoken English across a variety of contexts, accents, and speeds

Course Prerequisite Conditions

This course is suitable for ESOL Sutdents pre-intermediate level and above

Course Fee Subsidy

This course is subsided by Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) for NZ citizens and permanent migrant adults, their partners on work visas or visitor visas, and refugees. To qualify, registrants should be over the age of 16 years and not currently enrolled in a secondary school. You must provide evidence of NZ citizenship, residency, or refugee status to our staff for sighting purposes.

 

 $65 for Work Visa / $100 for Non-Residents
